Saratoga Institute has provided a lot of metrics with respect to recruitment. Cost per hire, quality of hire, etc are the common ones. Can we explore this area more in terms of sign-on bonuses, its various forms, taxation issues, Interviewing costs,…

GLOBAL FUTURE OF HRM AND LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE IS BACK

Quite a few months ago I asked our members to get involved in a global research study on the future of HRM using the leadership pulse technology and methods.

However, as we went down the path, we realized that without funding (which we were unable to secure) it would be difficult to make the project a reality. Therefore, we looked at some other options for moving the idea forward. We decided to try out a self funded initiative that we added to the Leadership Pulse.

We are asking leaders and managers to sign up to the leadership pulse via a new membership (we continue with the free and individual models). The new paid membership has a low membership fee associated with the work. We will use this project to match up coaches (researchers) and managers who can benefit from the learning and real-time data.

The members of our social network can participate by asking their own contacts to join, getting involved as a data coach, or helping to create an advisory group within your own region / country. If interested, go to www.leadershippulse.com to learn more or contact me directly.

Summary of project:

* Short pulse surveys sent out to leaders around the world every 2-3 months. Individuals and teams receive their own results and instant benchmarking by industry within days after the survey closes.
* Create hubs of learning directed by local researchers / coaches who focus on their cut of the data.
* Benchmarking is real time (close survey; everyone gets immediate results - the benefit of using the leadership pulse technology).
* First global, ongoing real-time benchmarking and shared learning process that we know about.

With enough data and involvement (interesting topics, inquisitive managers, researchers, coaches and authors), our project can lead to numerous publications (e.g. special issues, case studies, and edited books) in addition to conferences, webinars, and more.

Think big; get involved; send me your ideas.
