About Me:
I am currently an Assistant Professor of International Management at the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria, but a major change is coming -- as of August 1, 2008, I will become an Associate Professor of International Business at Reykjavik University in Iceland.

Before defending my doctoral dissertation in multicultural management at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, I received my MBA in Strategic Management and Human Resources at the School of Business of the University of Wyoming, USA, and my Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Russian State Academy of Oil & Gas in Moscow. My professional experience included working in various consulting companies throughout the world, including USA, Canada, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, and some other European countries. I am also an active member of the International Association of Management Consultants and its Canadian chapter.

My research interests include issues of both organizational behavior and international management, and particularly, matters of cultural differences and their influences on leadership, motivation, and multicultural HR management in international companies.

I have taught numerous courses, including Introduction to Management, Intercultural Business, International Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership, and Multinational Management at the institutions of higher education all over the world, including Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands), Oslo University College (Norway), Helsinki School of Economics (Finland), California Lutheran University (USA), Danube University of Krems and Management Center Innsbruck (both in Austria), etc.

I am also a co-founder and executive editor of the European Journal of International Management (EJIM), a quarterly academic publication devoted entirely to fostering an understanding of issues in international management in the newly expanded European arena (www.ejim-global.org).
